Research Use Only Policy

This policy governs every product we sell. It is a binding condition of every order.

01Scope

This policy applies to every product sold by PowerBuiltLabs, including peptides, solvents such as bacteriostatic water, and laboratory supplies, on every order without exception. It is incorporated into our Terms & Conditions, and by placing an order you agree to it in full.

02What "research use only" means

Our products are chemical reference materials supplied solely for in-vitro laboratory research and development conducted by qualified professionals. "In-vitro" means outside a living organism — in test tubes, cell cultures, assay plates, and analytical instruments. Research use only is a legal category, not a marketing phrase: it defines the one purpose for which these materials may lawfully be bought from us.

03Prohibited uses

Products must never be used as or in:

Human use of any kind — ingestion, injection, topical, or any other route
Veterinary use or administration to any animal
Drugs, medical devices, or treatments of any kind
Foods, dietary supplements, or food additives
Cosmetics or personal-care products
Agricultural, household, or commercial end products
Resale or distribution for any of the above purposes

04No medical claims, no medical advice

Our products have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA, the EMA, or any other regulatory authority for human or veterinary use. Nothing we publish — product pages, certificates of analysis, blog articles, or correspondence — is medical advice, a dosage suggestion, or a claim that any product can diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Descriptions of compounds reference published laboratory research contexts only.

05Qualified purchasers

By ordering, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least 21 years of age.You are a researcher, laboratory professional, or purchasing agent for a research organization.You have the training, facilities, and equipment to handle research chemicals safely.You understand the properties and potential hazards of the materials you order.You will not permit access to the products by any person not qualified to handle them.

06Purchaser responsibilities

  • Determine the suitability of each product for your specific research application — certificates of analysis document identity and purity, not fitness for purpose.
  • Follow recognized laboratory safety practice, including appropriate personal protective equipment and containment.
  • Store products according to their documentation and your institution's requirements.
  • Maintain lot-number records tying each vial to its certificate of analysis.
  • Dispose of materials and containers in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Comply with all laws and regulations applicable to the purchase, import, possession, and use of research chemicals in your jurisdiction.

07Our enforcement

We refuse and cancel orders when we have reason to believe the intended use violates this policy, and we may decline future business from purchasers who misrepresent their qualifications or intended use. We report conduct where the law requires us to.

08Assumption of risk and indemnity

You assume all risk arising from the handling, storage, and use of products after delivery. You agree to indemnify and hold PowerBuiltLabs, its owners, employees, and suppliers harmless from any claim, loss, or liability arising out of your use of products contrary to this policy or applicable law.
