01Agreement

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and PowerBuiltLabs ("we", "us") governing your use of this website and every purchase you make from it. By accessing the site or placing an order you accept these Terms, our Research Use Only Policy, our Shipping & Returns policy, and our Privacy Policy, each of which is incorporated into these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site or purchase from us.

02Research use only — the controlling condition

Every product we sell is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research use only by qualified professionals. No product is for human or veterinary use of any kind, and no product is a drug, food, dietary supplement, cosmetic, or medical device. This condition controls over anything else on the site, in correspondence, or in third-party content, and is set out in full in the Research Use Only Policy. A breach of that policy is a material breach of these Terms.

03Eligibility and purchaser certification

Each time you order, you certify that:

• You are at least 21 years of age.
• You are a qualified researcher, laboratory professional, or authorized purchasing agent for a research organization.
• The products will be handled only by persons trained in safe laboratory practice.
• The products will be used solely for lawful in-vitro research and for no other purpose.
• All information you provide to us is accurate and complete.

We may require evidence of qualification before accepting or fulfilling an order and may refuse any order at our discretion.

04Compliance with law

You are solely responsible for determining that your purchase, import, possession, storage, use, and disposal of research chemicals complies with every law and regulation that applies to you, including institutional rules. We make no representation that any product is lawful to receive or use at your location, and we are not responsible for parcels refused or seized by authorities.

05Products and documentation

• Every production lot is tested by an independent laboratory before release; its certificate of analysis is published permanently on our Certificates of Analysis page, searchable by the lot number printed on the vial.
• Certificates document the tested attributes of a specific lot — purity, identity, net content, and appearance — as reported by the laboratory. They are not a warranty of fitness for any particular experimental purpose.
• Product images, descriptions, and specifications are provided for identification. Minor variations in appearance that remain within the certificate's specification are not defects.
• We may discontinue, reformulate, or change products at any time without notice.

06Ordering and acceptance

Your order is an offer to purchase. We accept it when we ship — an order confirmation email is a receipt of the offer, not an acceptance. We may cancel any order before shipment, including for suspected policy violations, pricing or stock errors, or payment issues; if we cancel, we refund in full.

07Pricing and payment

• Prices are displayed in your region's currency and may change at any time; the price at checkout applies to your order.
• Prices exclude taxes and duties unless stated otherwise at checkout; you are responsible for any import duties your jurisdiction charges.
• Promotions, bundles, and discount codes are subject to their stated conditions, may not combine unless stated, and may be withdrawn at any time. Automatic bundle rewards (such as a free item at a qualifying quantity) are removed automatically if the qualifying quantity is reduced.
• Payment is processed by third-party payment providers; we never store full card numbers.

08Shipping, title, and risk

Shipping terms, delivery estimates, and our free shipping protection are set out in the Shipping & Returns policy. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery; loss, damage, or theft in transit is handled through shipping protection rather than by shifting transit risk to you.

09Returns

Unopened orders may be returned within 30 days of delivery; opened vials cannot be returned because a broken seal breaks the lot-to-certificate chain of documentation. Full details, including the claims process for damaged or lost parcels, are in the Shipping & Returns policy.

10Site use

• You may not use the site to place fraudulent orders, scrape content at scale, probe or disrupt our systems, or misrepresent your identity or qualifications.
• Account holders are responsible for activity under their credentials and must keep them confidential.
• We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms.

11Intellectual property

The site and its content — text, product photography, graphics, logos, and design — are owned by PowerBuiltLabs or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce or exploit site content commercially without our written permission. You may share links to, and reasonable excerpts of, our published certificates and articles with attribution.

12Disclaimer of warranties

Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the site and all products are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Our sole product commitment is that each shipped lot conforms to its published certificate of analysis at the time of release.

13Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) our total liability for any claim arising out of an order is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim; (b) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost research time, lost data, or lost profits; and (c) we have no liability whatsoever for any use of products contrary to the Research Use Only Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

14Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PowerBuiltLabs, its owners, employees, and suppliers harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your handling or use of products after delivery.

15Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal information.

16Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published at the time you place an order governs that order. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17Severability and waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect, and the unenforceable provision is replaced by an enforceable one that most closely reflects its intent. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
